Dubbo Tool Repairs, formerly Buck's Tool Repairs is owned by Charles Rogers and Allyson Neave with the business opening on 23rd of July 2007. Buck's first operated out of 105 Bourke St in Dubbo, which was on the Newell Highway linking Melbourne To Brisbane, and is ideally located in Dubbo for easy access. We have since moved to our new premises in Carboni Court. Situated off River Street, near the Newell Highway, we are not far from our original location.
Charles Rogers undertook an electrical fitter/mechanics apprenticeship in The Royal Australian Navy commencing in 1979. After passing out from training in 1980 with the CJ Toohey Memorial prize for Most Improved Electrical Apprentice of 1979 intake, Charles, more widely known as Buck, served on a Maintainence ship, a Guided Missile Destroyer and finally on Patrol Boats in Far North Qld. Buck specialised in weapons systems and hydraulics as well as conducting other ship duties.
Buck Discharged from the Navy in 1988 and has sinced worked as a Hydraulic Fitter, a maintainence electrician, a fitter /welder and finally as a tool repair technician for the last 8 1/2 years.
Allyson has lived in Dubbo most of her life, moving there from Parkes as a young girl. Allyson worked in Hardware at Naylors Hardware for several years and built up a good reputation amongst the locals. Allyson was a Director of her own building company before working in Insurance for the last 9 years.
Allyson and Buck live together in Dubbo and have 2 girls and 2 boys between them.
Buck list his hobbies as fishing, shooting and drinking in no particular order and has been trying to finish building his Hovercraft which has been in construction for the last 3 years.
Allyson lists her hobbies as cleaning up after Buck.
